Run OS X Yosemite on iPhone / iPad: If you like OS X Yosemite for Mac, this post is for you .. Now you can run Yosemite like interface in any iPhone, iPad using DreamBoard (Cydia App), for that you only need to have an jailbroken device running iOS 8.
Before you go ahead, make sure you have a jailbroken device running Cydia. After this, check the instructions:
How to run OS X Yosemite On iPhone / iPad
The process is easy once you’ve installed Cydia. You will need to install Wynd repo and download DreamBoard and OS X Yosemite theme (by Miket25)
1. Download and Install DreamBoard to run Yosemite OS theme
- Launch Cydia (from home screen) > Go to Sources Tab > Tap Edit > Tap Add
- Enter the following Cydia Repo URL: wynd07.appspot.com/r7/ (see the image) > Tap “Add Source”
- Tap Wynd Source form Cydia Sources List > All Packages > DreamBoard (make sure you are in the iOS 8 compatible version) > Tap Install Button
- Respring your device and go to Home Screen and verify that DreamBoard app is installed
2. Download and Install Yosemite OS theme in your iOS8.x device
- Go back to Cydia, and search “Yosemite OS”
- Tap Yosemite OS (make sure you’re downloading the one that is Miket25 author) > Tap Install
- Back to home screen and launch DreamBoard app
- Select the Yosemite OS theme
Exploring Yosemite OS on iOS 8
After you have Yosemite OS theme running on your iPhone, iPad you can notice you have a top a bottom menu. In the top menu you have apple icon, Finder, File and Edit. In the bottom menu you have a bunch of tools like on Yosemite OS for Mac.
